Conyers School is a large 11-18 comprehensive school located in Yarm and drawing students from Yarm, Ingleby Barwick and the surrounding areas. Our school is characterised by excellent relationships between students, staff and parents. We are proud of our reputation as a high achieving and caring learning environment committed to placing students at the heart of all we do.
We have high expectations of everybody within our school community, aspiring to excellence and achieving impressive standards in both examinations and our extra curricular offer. Our school aims reflect our belief in providing all students the opportunity to reach their full potential whatever their starting point. We know this is best achieved in an encouraging learning environment where mutual and self respect are promoted. We want students to leave Conyers School as confident young people able to work independently and think creatively, fully prepared for the adventure of adult life.
Conyers School was the founder school within The 1590 Trust and converted to academy status in 2013. Our belief is that by working together with like minded schools we can achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people within our community.

Bader Primary School is a larger than average Primary school based in Thornaby. With strong links to the World War 2 fighter pilot, Sir Douglas, with whom we take our name, school is built on the site of the former, Thornaby airfield and serves a community with higher than average, free school meals. Our vision at Bader is to develop happy, respectful and aspirational learners who develop their determination to succeed through excellence and our school motto of ‘Aiming High’
The 1590 Trust will provide more opportunities to achieve our vision through extensive collaboration with our partner schools who share similar values to Bader Primary School.

Kirklevington Primary is a smaller than average Primary school, with 133 children ranging from age 3-11 years, based in the village of Kirklevington, just outside of Yarm. We pride ourselves on our small, village school ethos, where each child is unique and precious.
Our aim is to give all our children the best possible start to life, within a happy, caring environment. We have high ambitions for all of our children and make sure that learning is both enjoyable and rewarding.
Working within the 1590 Trust brings opportunities to collaborate with like-minded colleagues, sharing resources, staff development and good practice, to enable us to provide outstanding education for all children.

Layfield Primary School is a community school for children between the ages of 3 and 11. Built in 1982 to serve the growing town of Yarm, the school is situated in the heart of the Layfield estate to the south west of the town. We are a happy and caring school where children thrive, families are supported, and everyone is included. The school building was extended in April 2010, and boasts a state of the art Early Years setting with it’s own outdoor area plus a private Day Care and Out of School Club which are managed by Action for Children. A range of activities for the community are also available on site.
We are a very successful school where children are provided with experiences to enrich and stimulate learning. We foster each individuals unique talents and encourage everyone to do their best. Layfield Primary School joined The 1590 Trust in September 2018 to build on the strong links which already existed between us and other schools.

We are a one-form entry primary school, tucked away within a private housing estate on the outskirts of Yarm. We pride ourselves on the friendly, approachable atmosphere in school and the sense of belonging that we try to instil in all members of the school community. For all our pupils we seek to provide a happy and secure environment founded on mutual respect for one another. We aim to develop the children’s skills, knowledge and understanding through carefully planned and structured activities, which provide experiences to enrich and stimulate learning through an engaging, broad, balanced and enjoyable curriculum.
We joined The 1590 Trust in April 2019 and very much look forward to working alongside our partner schools to ensure that the very best educational experiences are accessible by all children.
